Term		Description
NFA		Venting products are normally rated with a Net Free Area (NFA). NFA is the open area that exists for air to pass through. The key to effective venting is to balance the NFA of soffit and ridge vents. Ideally the NFA of the soffit should be equal to or greater than that of the ridge vent. Also see Vent or Ventilation.
