Medium weight Awaplan 170 roll roofing consists of a 180 g/m2 polyester mat saturated with asphalt and coated with SBS-modified asphalt. It exhibits tremendous elasticity and strength with superior resistance to thermal shock and punctures and is suitable for flashing as well as field roofing.

19" Selvedge Edge

Constructed from TAMKO's organic mat, impregnated with hot asphaltic saturant, then coated on both sides with weathering-grade asphalt and surfaced with mineral granules in a 17-inch wide path, starting at the edge of the sheet toward the center. This forms a 19-inch wide selvedge for overlapping purposes.

Awaflex is an SBS-modified cap sheet, reinforced with a 155 g/m² nonwoven polyester mat saturated with asphalt and coated on both sides with SBS-rubber-modified asphalt. It is also surfaced with ceramic granules for protection from ultraviolet degradation.
