Houston, TX NBC Affiliate — Groups join forces to help repair Army veteran's Harvey-damaged home

Welcome Home Sgt Sprague

TAMKO was so proud to play a part in 94-year old veteran Clarence Sprague getting a new roof after his home was badly damaged more than two years ago in Hurricane Harvey.

Sprague served as 1st Assistant to General George S. Patton and survived both the historic 1944 invasion of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge later that same year. He was awarded a marksmanship medal, a campaign medal with three bronze stars, the good conduct medal, and the World War II victory medal.

TAMKO donated the roofing materials to repair Sprague’s roof and Houston-area contractor F.W. Walton, Inc. (Walton Roofing) donated the installation. Other businesses and nonprofit groups came together to donate materials and labor to repair other portions of Sprague’s home.

The local Houston, TX NBC affiliate covered this heartwarming story that featured a great shout-out to TAMKO for the donation. Watch the full TV report here: https://www.click2houston.com/news/2019/06/04/groups-join-forces-to-help-repair-army-veterans-harvey-damaged-home/
